Gluten Free Tim Tam Balls

These gluten free Tim Tam balls are not only 3 ingredients, but they are the most irresistible bite-sized wonders, capturing the nostalgic flavours of the iconic Australian Tim Tam biscuit while being gluten free. They are bite-sized and indulgent at the same time, making them the perfect treat for entertaining any time of year.

Yields: Approx. 14 (make them as big or small as you like)
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 40 minutes
Total: 50 minutes
 

Ingredients: 

  • 400g gluten free Tim Tams (2-3 packets)
  • 250g of softened/room temperature cream cheese
  • 1 ½ cups of milk chocolate chips

Method:

  1. Place the Tim Tams in a food processor, and blend until smooth.
  2. Add in the cream cheese and process again until just combined (don’t over-process).
  3. Refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes or so.
  4. Roll into a teaspoon or tablespoon-sized balls.
  5. Pop them back in the fridge while you melt the chocolate (microwave on low or use a bowl over boiling water).
  6. Dip the balls in the melted chocolate, and/or drizzle on top. Put them back in the fridge for 10 minutes or until the chocolate has set.
  7. Serve immediately or store in the fridge.

Tips & Tricks:

  • Decorate them for the festive season by coating them in milk or dark chocolate, and then drizzling white chocolate on top.
  • These can be frozen, or you can seal them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four weeks.
